The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) program at Summit Academy High School offers students individualized pathways while covering required core curriculum. Students enrolled in the program receive rigorous, blended instruction in all areas of STEM education including options for self-study and honors, advanced placement and college level classes available in all focus areas. The program also includes an option for early high school graduation and completion of up to 15 college credits. The average class size for courses in the program is 20 students, so participants will receive individualized instruction. Many teachers at Summit Academy High School have advanced degrees and are trained to deliver quality instruction that inspires students to achieve their potential. The STEM program at Summit Academy High School will challenge and motivate your student.
 
Students will periodically have after school STEM meetings.
 
STEM Graduation Requirements:
A) Two service activities each year
AND
B) Capstone group or individual project each year:
1)    Science Fair Or
2)    AP Capstone Or
3)    Engineering Design Class Or
4)    Competition Or
5)    Internship Or
6)    Other Proposal

Capstone project approval with Dr. Shelkey and another STEM Faculty.
