Bienvenue en classe de français!
I am a French native speaker and I am very excited to share French language and culture in the excellent Summit Academy Schools!
My teaching aims to help each student discovering his unique potential, blooming, and reaching excellence in mastering a foreign language. Learning a second language enables students to apprehend the diversity of the world, gain confidence, and become capable independent individuals.
I am from the city of Metz, located in the Northeast of France and close to Luxembourg and Germany. I enjoyed growing up in this city with its rich cultural and architectural heritage, its large pedestrian and vibrant downtown with cobbled streets, and its extensive open grounds, rivers and water garden.
I received a Bachelor degree in Psychology and a Master degree in Education from the University of Metz. I conducted my graduate work on analyzing comparatively different listening comprehension strategies for second language learners.
I am a certified teacher of the French Ministry of National Education and taught for 6 years in Kindergarten and Elementary schools in France. Then, in 2011, I moved to Utah to teach in the French Dual Immersion Program of the Utah State of Education.
In my free time, I like hiking with my husband to the amazing lakes in the Wasatch Front and snowshoeing in winter. I enjoy exploring and camping in the gorgeous National Parks, observing wild animals and breathtaking colorful landscapes. I am also keen on going to Ballet, Symphony and Opera performances. Finally, I love romantic dinner, in particular with French cuisine!
